How we can serve you:

Pregnancy or Postpartum Mood Changes
If you’re having difficulty with baby blues, depression, anxiety, or intrusive thoughts, or you are struggling with not feeling like yourself anymore:
I offer you support as you heal and adjust to this change of life by connecting with yourself again and coping with life stresses.
Non-birthing partners or fathers are welcome and supported to seek therapy during the perinatal period as well.

Birth Trauma
If you’ve experienced a traumatic birth, or are coping with disappointment surrounding your birth experience:
I use body-based exercises to move through grief or trauma while also rebuilding the trust you have with your body.
Fathers or non-birthing partners are welcome and encouraged to come to therapy to process birth trauma, too.

Couples Therapy
If you and your partner are struggling with relationship changes, shifting responsibilities, intimacy issues, infidelity, or family planning decisions:
I create space for you both to develop communication and active listening skills to create a safe environment for your relationship inside and outside of the therapy room.
Holding New Therapy is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and we warmly welcome all couples.

Post-Abortion Support
If you’ve experienced abortion, whether 10 days ago or 10 years ago, I offer support for you without the stigma.
It is okay to experience emotions after abortion, such as loneliness, fear, shame, relief, doubt, or overwhelm. We can work together to meet your needs and move forward at your own pace.
Your confidentiality is protected, prioritized, and valued in my office. There are no legal risks to seeking therapy after an abortion.

Termination for Medical Reasons
If you have ended a wanted pregnancy, you and your support partner(s) are welcome in my office.
No matter the diagnosis or situation, I create a non-judgmental, compassionate environment for you to feel any emotion, grieve any situation, and heal.

Pregnancy or Infant Loss
If you are grieving a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or infant loss, I hold space for you one session at a time.
Grief is not linear or predictable. I will follow your lead in therapy and sit alongside you as you process perinatal loss.

Foster and Adoptive Parenting
If you are a foster and/or adoptive parent navigating role conflicts, identity confusion, frustration with systemic issues, difficulties with parenting traumatized children, or just long to be seen and heard as an individual:
I firmly believe you are included under the perinatal mental health umbrella and deserve the same support as any other new parent.

Parenting A Child With A Disability
Enhanced sessions are also available on an individual basis to focus on a specific goal, such as:
- fearing what the future looks like for your entire family
- grieving the “what-ifs” of the past
- changing your expectations of parenting and milestones
- learning to advocate for yourself and your child
- celebrating the small and big wins as often as you can
I know first-hand the difficulties and joys that come alongside this journey and would love to sit alongside you.
