Every therapist at Holding New Therapy is exclusively trained in the layers of pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, loss, & abortion. That’s our whole caseload. It’s our full attention.
We’re not trying to be everything to everyone. Instead, we’re committed to being exceptional at this.
By staying current on perinatal-specific trainings, evolving best practices, & the legislation shaping reproductive rights in real time, we achieve that. Any session at Holding New Therapy is politically & socioculturally attuned to what our clients are up against.
Because not all therapy is built for this.
We’ve walked with people through NICU stays, birth trauma, miscarriage, scary thoughts they swore they’d never say out loud, & quiet grief that no one at the baby shower could see. & we don’t flinch.
Because when your therapist actually understands why you're spiraling after your OB dismissed your concerns . . . or knows what it means to track your cycle like it’s a second job . . . or understands the complicated grief of making a choice you never thought you’d face — that’s when therapy hits differently.
Our therapists aren’t generalists. Perinatal mental health isn’t just a bullet point on our PsychologyToday profile. We’ve narrowed our focus on purpose. & when all you do is hold space for the messiest & most misunderstood parts of reproductive care — you get really freaking good at it.
Our therapists aren't generalists.
We’re committed to making therapy for new parents accessible. All of our sessions are held virtually to reduce barriers like transportation, childcare, finances, location, & mobility needs. If there’s anything we can do to better support your access to care (communication preferences, tech accommodations, website adjustments, etc), please let us know at admin@holdingnewtherapy.com.
