Selecia saw the need for mental health providers in the reproductive mental health field during her final practicum in grad school. From there, she’s focused her work helping clients with trauma, anxiety, depression, & parenting challenges.

Selecia regularly encourages her clients to be themselves in session. She is laid back & provides her clients with honest feedback.

As a therapist, Selecia gravitates towards a mix of different strategies and therapy approaches to help support you, including worksheets & occasional take-home exercises. These modalities can include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, & Solution-Focused Therapy.

"I enjoy working with pregnant and postpartum individuals and families, building their confidence within themselves, parenting and helping them navigate their difficult emotions. Life can be very difficult to navigate, and I want to be the safe space for clients to know they are not alone."
What do you do for fun?
"I like to go to the movies or watch a movie or tv show at home, watch anime, or nerd out on an animal documentary. I also like to play a few video games and spend time with my family."

You deserve care that sees the whole picture, not just the surface. Here you’ll find therapists who recognize those realities & are committed to creating a space where your story is honored without judgment.

At Holding New Therapy, we know reproductive journeys aren’t always what you imagined. Alongside the joy, there can be loss, exhaustion, anxiety, or a sense that everything about your world has shifted overnight.
